The first thing to do is look EVERYWHERE! Lost library books usually turn up in the most unexpected places. Take everything out of your backpack; look in the car, under your bed, and on your bookshelf. Is it at school? If you feel the book is totally and completely lost, then come see Mrs. Kaufmann.
Sometimes a book gets damaged. Your water bottle leaks in your backpack and the book gets wet, or the pages tear or fall out. Please return the book and tell Mrs. Kaufmann right way. Often, damaged books can be repaired.
In an effort to maintain our school library collection, we ask that families pay the replacement cost for any lost or damaged books. Mrs. Kaufmann can give you the book information to bring home. Payment can be made by cash or check (payable to Hudson Public Schools) and given to Mrs. Kaufmann in the library. Thank you!
